Long Khee Restaurant/ 隆记咖喱鱼头 @ SS15, Subang Jaya

咖喱鱼头/ Fish Head Curry
Fish head curry! Anyone? The last time I tried fish head curry was about 2 years ago. Besides, I am a huge fan of curry so Long Khee's fish head curry is a must try for me. According to my friend, this is one of the famous fish head curry in Subang Area. Personally, I think that the curry is good enough but not spicy enough for spicy food lover like me. =) Another thing is that the fish portion in the curry is kinda 'kiam siap'/ stingy. Hope they can improve on that. Overall, it is still good. Recommended!
招牌豆腐/ Famous Tofu
This is Long Khee's famous Tofu. The tofu is first fried and then steamed along with carrot slices, mushrooms, baby prawns and a few slices of veges. I believe the tofu is home-made and it is so soft and smooth within the first bite. The taste is awesome. Rather than ordering the usual claypot tofu, try this!
妈密鸡/ Marmite Chicken
A little bit different this time. Rather than order the usual 'gou lou yok', lemon chicken or thai style chicken, we want to try the marmite chicken from Long Khee. Fortunately, it turns out better than my expectation. The portion is quite generous and the taste is good. Unlike some restaurants that serve meatless, mostly bone and skin chicken, Long Khee serve succulent chicken!
清炒油麦菜/ Fried Lettuce
My girl's favourite vege of all time, Lettuce. It is normally served along with 肉骨茶/'Bah Ku Teh'. Overall, the lettuce is crunchy and brings along some sweet vege taste. Simple and healthy. Recommended!

Big Hug Burger @ Subang Square, SS15

Greeting from the big bears
There have been many burger joints that appear around Klang valley in recent months. This is one of them, 'Big Hug Burger' that just started their business early this year. Once you enter the store, there will be BIG greetings from the big teddy bears lying on the couches. Too bad there are only four couches available and most of the time they are occupied while the other seats are wooden seats.
Special Wall Design & Decoration
I have to admit that Big Hug Burger does have the nicest decoration & design among all the burger joints so far. Other than just the design, the owner places some funky hair bands and specs so that customers can take pictures with them to create good memories. =) This is definitely a place for the youngsters to hangout and it is within the walking distance from Taylors and INTI Colleges.
Beef Grilled Burger (RM 15.00)
The bamboo charcoal bun beef burger features a grilled beef patty, roasted cherry tomatoes, caramelised onion, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, gherkins and fresh lettuce. This is my first time trying the bamboo charcoal bun and I am totally in love with it. It is rather resilient compared to other buns and carry a slight sweet taste.
Beef Grilled Burger
The idea of mixing roasted cherry tomatoes in the burger is just great. Unlike the normal tomatoes, cherry tomatoes carry some sweetening taste and together with the thick, properly grilled beef patty, it makes the bite more satisfying. Yummy~~~~~

Nyonya Colors @ 1 Utama Shopping Mall

It's family day! =) We decide to spent our half day at 1 Utama Shopping Mall. I still remember there is a restaurant named 'Nyonya Colors' that serves nice Nyonya kuih so I decide to bring my parent to have a try. The store is normally packed during the lunch and dinner hours but we manage to get our seats. Other than nyonya kuih, they do serve other Malaysian food such as nasi lemak, nasi kunyik, laksa, etc.
Roti Jala (RM 8.90)
The yellowish net-look pancake rolls are known as Roti Jala. It is made using wheat flour and best mixed with chicken curry. The taste is awesome along with the combination and I am totally in love with the chicken curry. It is concentrated and not very spicy. Recommended!
Cendol + Red Bean
We also ordered the cendol + red bean. It is a bit too sweet for me maybe because they put too much of 'Gula Melaka'/ Palm sugar but overall it is still ok.
Kuih Talam + Lapis Pandan
Kuih Talam and Lapis Pandan from here is really good! You can mix the kuih with 'kaya' for better taste or you can just taste it originally. Compared to the kuih Talam from my hometown, Terengganu, Kuih sold here is slightly better. The kuih is definitely their selling point! Highly recommended!
Kuih Ketayap
This is my favourite! Kuih Ketayap, shredded coconut mixed with gula melaka wrapped with a layer made from wheat flour. However, it is not as good as those from my hometown. The one that I tried from Terengganu is way better. The juicy shredded coconut mix will just flow out within the first bite! yummy~~

台湾风味馆/ Formosa @ Sunway Pyramid

卤肉饭/ Braised pork Rice with braised egg & taufu
After the movie 'Riddick', it was our dinner time! I remembered that there were quite a number of food stalls in the Asia Avenue @ Sunway Pyramid so we decided to search for food over there. Along the way there were some cafes, dessert shops and finally we saw this restaurant 'FORMOSA' /台湾风味馆 that serve Taiwan food. We decided to give it a try. There were a lot of combination sets that you can choose from to suit your own taste. We decided to order two sets of braised pork rice that came with braised egg, taufu, crispy chicken and drinks. They do offer some other dishes like 蚵仔麵線/ Oyster Noodles, spicy soup, 台湾香肠/ Taiwan Sausage, etc. The braised pork rice is kinda satisfying with braised egg, taufu and some vege but you can barely find any braised pork inside. It was mainly just the soup poured on the rice. It would be better if there are generous amount of braised pork.
香脆炸鸡/ Hot Crispy Chicken @ RM 6.50
Here we have the hot crispy chicken which was quite large in portion. It was a little bit spicy and of course very crispy as it was fried upon our order and served immediately. The chicken was cut into slices for easier consumption as well. In my opinion, it was better than the fried chicken offered in ‘士林’/Shilin Food Stall. Recommended!
珍珠奶茶/ Original Bubble Tea
There were a few sets that offered drinks. There were limited type of drinks that you can choose such as original bubble tea, coke, 100 plus, and etc. Mostly were just can drinks.

Haagen Dazs @ Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall

Haagen Dazs
After we had our meal at Sushi Zanmai, we thought of having some dessert and Haagen Dazs came to our mind. As long as I can recall, the Haagen Dazs outlet in Sunway Pyramid was previously situated near to the Machines (Apple Store) but now it had move to an outlet near the ice skating rink. Haagen Dazs has been well-known for its premium ice-cream. However, they do offer a limited choice of drinks such as coffee and juice as side orders.
Mini Bucket with 5 different flavours
Rather than just ordering the scoops, I decided to order a mini bucket where I can choose five different ice-cream flavours topped with strawberry slices and some side topping as well. These are some of the flavours that I choosen: Belgium Chocolate, Cheese Strawberry , Tiramisu, and etc.. I would say the flavor that I loved most is the strawberry cheesecake and this flavor is new! =)

Sushi Zanmai @Sunway Pyramid

Sushi Zanmai's Menu
It has been some times since I have Japanese food. Since today is my 'monthsary' celebration with my girl, we decide to have our lovely dinner at Sushi Zanmai, Sunway Pyramid. Sushi Zanmai has always being our first choice when we crave for Japanese food. Compared to Sushi King and Sakae Sushi, Sushi Zanmai does offer better quality Japanese food and of course quality services plus with reasonable price as well. However, there is always a long queue during the meal times, so try avoid those times. =)

Chicken Karaage Don (Fried Chicken with Onion on Rice)- RM 8.80 (S)
For me, I would never being satisfied with just a few plates of sushi and that is why I always order a main course to fill up my hungry stomach. As usual, we will share the main course. This time, we ordered the Chicken Karaage Don. The chicken is fried and cooked with tomato sauce and topped with few slices of onions. With the appropriate amount of soy sauce on the Shari (rice used to make sushi) and mixture of cabbage slices, it is a must try. For those who haven't try Shari before, it taste a little bit sweet compared to the normal tasteless rice and the rice looked fatter and shorter as well. I named it the 'CHUBBY RICE'.

Inari Ika Mentai (Cuttlefish Roasted with Cod Roe) -RM 4.80

Like most of the Japanese restaurants who use conveyor belt to serve the sushi plates, Sushi Zanmai offer this service as well. Different colour of plates represent different price ranging from RM1.80 till RM6.80. Inari Ika Mentai is one of my favourite! A layer of egg is used to wrap the cuttlefish that is roasted with the Cod Roe and a thick layer of cheese is served on top of the wrapping. With a dip on the soy sauce and wasabi mixture, it is definitely a great combination! Yummy~~
